HOW YOU CAN HELP

Dear Fremont County Register Republican, 

Hello, my name is Jason Hilterbran, and I am seeking the opportunity to serve as your Fremont County Commissioner. Because this position is decided by the voters, I am asking you—here in Fremont County—to give me that opportunity. 

County Commissioners play a critical role in public safety, infrastructure, responsible growth, and the everyday decisions that shape our county’s future. 

I believe leadership should be grounded in service, not politics, and guided by clear values.

The principles that guide me during this campaign are simple:

- God, Family, Country, County

- Focus on People, not Politics

- First Responders First

- Never Give Up

I am committed and qualified for the position. My background reflects a lifetime of service, leadership, and hands-on experience:

*  I am a lifelong registered Republican 

* I am someone who believes soundly in our Constitution and will defend it to my end

* I am a former firefighter with experience in structure, HazMat, wildland, and medical response.

*  I am a seizure first-aid response expert, a former certified nursing assistant (CNA), and am CPR/BLS trained. 

* I have field, emergency, and response training and experience for natural disasters.  

* I am a former Operations Manager &  Regional Trainer for Municipalities across seven states for a Municipal Equipment Manufacturing & Distribution Company. During that time, I was contracted to design, engineer and build the system vans being distributed to the municipalities, in addition to my operations, administrative and executive duties.

 * I m a former licensed water well installation and service technician for over a decade.

* I am someone who can operate commercial equipment from small to heavy, and trained to drive all sizes of fire engines smaller than engine.

* I am a former small business owner that has felt the sting of bureaucracy and deceptive business practice. I have navigated the administrative and regulatory waves to success and also seen failure, as we all did during COVID.

* I am a husband to an amazing woman who is outspoken and opinionated, deeply loves her family, her country and Fremont County. She's been my cheerleader in life and in earlier when we were friends and in high school when I was football captain, she literally cheered for my on the field. She's tough, she's straight forward and she is a fierce fighter for what is right. For almost 22 years now, she's my firecracker.

* I am a father to children that range from 39 years to almost 13, due to our blended marriage, successfully maneuvering parenting over decades has been thrilling, exhausting and the greatest gift God could give me. It has taught me a lot in life, patience, tolerance, acceptance of shortcomings and mistakes (not just by them, but me) and unconditional love. That's what family is. I tell you though - today's teenagers have technology only seen in movies by our older children, and that is making a huge impact on the family unit, all over the world, in our opinion.

* I am someone who believes leadership is earned through experience, accountability, and showing up when it matters.

That's who I am, and I believe that would make me the ideal candidate for Fremont County Commissioner, I hope you agree.

If you are a registered Republican in Fremont County, I respectfully ask for your help by signing my candidate petition before February 28, 2026, to ensure my name appears on the ballot and voters have a choice in this primary election for their next County Commissioner.
