I am a lifelong Republican and a firm believer in democracy and the freedoms it protects. I believe in the Constitution, the rule of law, and the responsibility we each share to participate, engage, and hold our government accountable. Our system isn’t perfect, but it is strong—and worth defending. Even on our worst day, America is still the greatest country on this earth, because it is built on freedom, opportunity, and the belief that everyday citizens can shape their own future.

I am a former firefighter, a CNA, and a small business owner, and each of those roles has shaped how I see responsibility, hard work, and leadership. Serving as a firefighter and CNA taught me what it means to show up on people’s worst days, stay calm under pressure, and put others first—even when the work is difficult and often unseen.

Serving as a firefighter and CNA taught me what it means to show up on people’s worst days, stay calm under pressure, and put others first—even when the work is difficult and often unseen. As a business owner, we’ve experienced both wins and "losses", but through the chaos and uncertainty that come with self-employment, we learned to view challenges not as failures, but as hard-earned lessons. Some were painful, some were costly, but all were invaluable. We never quit, and those experiences taught us resilience, accountability, and how to make tough decisions—lessons that matter just as much in public service as they do in business or emergency response.

As a father, I have endured losses that tested me to my core—losing my first child, Taryn Jo, at 18, and then losing our son Austin just over two years ago. During those seasons, my faith was shaken, tried, and stretched in ways I never imagined. There were moments of overwhelming grief, long hospital stays with a terminal child, and a pain that tore at my soul. In those darkest hours, when nothing else could offer comfort, I found peace the only place it can be found—in our Lord. Not because the answers were easy, but because faith gave me the strength to keep going. Those experiences taught me that choosing good, compassion, and hope is not passive—it is an act of courage. I believe our community is strongest when we lead with faith, humility, and love for one another, even when life is hard, and that belief continues to guide how I live, serve, and lead.

I am a husband, a father, and a grandfather, and my family is the heart of everything I do. They are my strength, my purpose, and the reason I care so deeply about the future we are building. I am an outdoorsman and a hunter, with a deep respect for the land and the responsibility that comes with it. Fremont County has become deeply meaningful to our family—a place where open skies, strong values, and a way of life grounded in connection reflect what truly matters: faith, family, and community. This county represents resilience, opportunity, and something even more rare—a place where people still take pride in where they live, care for one another, and value what makes this place special. We are so proud to call Fremont County our home, and protecting the character and spirit of this wonderful place—now and for the generations that will follow—is something I take seriously and will be committed to as your next Fremont County Commissioner and I would appreciate your support.
